Quartz crystal singing bowls are a special type of instrument all on their own, and while they may share some things in common with their metal Tibetan bowl counterparts, they have their own separate history, properties, healing qualities, and uses. Meditation Techniques And Healing

It can happen! The healing meditation process uses various techniques to allow you to place yourself in a meditative state, focused upon healing issues. These issues may range from insomnia to pain management to stress reduction. Practitioners swear that the use of healing meditation can even help people recover more quickly from major surgery.
Most practitioners of healing meditation techniques utilize some combination of techniques for relaxation and focus. Many of these techniques have been used in stress management and self-hypnosis for decades. Placing them in the context of healing meditation creates a powerful focus on the mind-body connection and allows a sense of self-healing to begin.
Healing meditation techniques.
Following are some of the most common techniques used in healing meditation.
Relaxation exercises.
Part of the act of meditation is placing your body in a more relaxed state. A tense body and a tense mind go together, and you can begin to relax both by learning simple techniques to calm your breathing, muscles, and thoughts. Common relaxation techniques include deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, and the use of music. One of the simplest relaxation exercises uses cleansing breaths: Take 4-5 deep breaths. Begin by inhaling slowly and deeply. Hold the breath for at least 5-10 seconds. Then slowly release the breath. Then imagine a glowing ball of warm light that travels over the pain, releasing it from the cold shadows. By positively visualizing events either symbolically or literally, your mind can bring actual change to your body.
Positive affirmations.
Along with visualizations, positive affirmations can effectively increase your power of more positive thinking. A positive affirmation is a simple statement you say about something you want to be or have happen. It is always stated in positive terms. For example, rather than saying, “I’m going to stop having so much trouble sleeping all the time,” you might say: “My body feels ready for rest, and I am about to sleep peacefully.”
Repetitive sounds.
For centuries, Eastern philosophers have taught the value of using repetitive sounds to enter a deeper meditative state. Techniques may range from the repetitive “ohm” of the transcendental meditation practitioner to the kirtan kriya chants of the yogi to drumming meditation. What these techniques have in common is the ability to clear the mind of everything but the object of its focus during the meditation.
Research studies have shown that meditation can reduce blood pressure, decrease stress, and improve patient attitudes. If you are willing to invest a few minutes every day in the practice of one or more healing meditation techniques, you may find that meditation becomes the proverbial apple a day you need to keep traditional medicine away from your door.

Build A Zen Garden
What exactly is an outdoor Zen Garden? The term “Zen Garden” is typically used to describe a specific type of Japanese garden comprised mainly of sand and rocks and focuses on design simplicity. The style comes from the Zen Buddhist Temples where many of these gardens can be found. These gardens can be small framed boxes or may take up half of your yard. You can create them in any size or form that you wish. The idea is that the sand or gravel that forms the base of the outdoor zen garden represents the water of a pond or ocean. The surface of the sand is often raked to represent the ripples of water.
The Outdoor Zen garden is a pit of sand or gravel. Then stones are placed carefully in the sand to represent islands or rock formations generally found in water. This is a common design and interpretation of proper rock gardens but you can design it in any manner you like.
These outdoor zen gardens can be built in flowerbed type enclosures, directly on the ground, or in framed wooden boxes similar to flat flower boxes. You can research and look at some inspiring pictures to get a good idea for your Zen garden. Decide which type would make a good addition to your garden or patio area.
First, plan the area where you will create your Zen Garden. If it requires a framed box, you will need to create or purchase the box first. If you intend to create the rock garden on the ground, decide if you will need to excavate in order to remove soil or ground cover foliage. Map out the perimeter of the garden and create a border. Your local home and garden supply stores have several border materials that will do this job quite nicely. If building on the ground, you may need to line the ground with weed blocking material to keep plants from growing up through your sand or gravel area.
Add the sand or gravel bed. Whether you are adding sand or gravel, you will want to fill the area and completely cover the ground or bottom of the box. You need the sand or gravel to be deep enough to allow for raking the surface to create the ripple effect.
Now you are ready to place the focal features of your choice into the sand or gravel bed. For best results, these items should be partially submerged in the sand to create the appearance that they are protruding from the surface of water. Natural objects like large and small stones will keep you close to the traditional roots of this design but feel free to use anything that you like. Any natural items like rocks, plants, logs work best to achieve that natural look. Also, remember that simplicity is a major part of this theme.
Now you are ready to rake the surface to create ripples and designs. Feel free to be artistic. It is your garden after all and you can move objects around and resurface it as often as you like.

What Is Spiritual Enlightenment
As it seems, spiritual enlightenment is often categorized into levels for practical purposes. Highest stage of spiritual enlightenment marks the attainment of God, but still there are certain levels through which the individual needs to evolve. It is like rising from the levels of animality to which we often tend to degrade ourselves. From the levels of animality, we rise to the level of humanity, which constitutes our true nature. And further from humanity to divinity, where we merge back in the source from where we have come. Let us, for our practical purpose, put them in stages and analyze the state of being in each stage:
At the very first level of spiritual enlightenment, the individual starts experiencing the reality as it is. It means that your mind ceases to interfere with what you are experiencing. Quite often, we are engaged in continuous talk, gossip, analyzing the environment around us, planning about future, and so on. However, when spiritual enlightenment dawns on your being, you take everything as it is.
At the second stage of spiritual enlightenment, you feel yourself in almost everything around you. You feel that you have some connection to every object and every individual in the world. It is like losing your own individuality. Spiritual enlightenment has its culmination at merging the soul in Supreme Soul, and this is where you start experiencing it. You feel that you are not individual anymore and not separate from anything. You feel that you are in everything and everything is just a part of the Supreme Soul from where you also have emerged.
At the third stage of spiritual enlightenment, you no longer feel connected to everything but realize you are everything. Because spiritual enlightenment gives you the experience of oneness with God, you feel that you are not separate from anything. You are not merely the body, sense, mind, and faculty of intellect: you are what everything else is. This stage of spiritual enlightenment imparts the direct experience of oneness.
Spiritual enlightenment is the fruit that sets you free, as you lose all wants and wishes to receive the fruits of your actions. You feel the bliss of completeness through spiritual enlightenment. At first it gives you the feeling that you need “Light”. At the next stage, you feel that you are merging in “Light”. At the culminating stage, you feel that you are no more separated from “Light”—you and “Light” are one.
How Meditation Can Lead You To Spiritual Enlightenment
Have you ever found yourself struggling in meditation? You sit to meditate expecting bliss or enlightenment but instead all you really experience is frustration? That’s because the very attempt to get something out of meditation, blocks you from actually meditating.
Meditation is a bit like gardening, you plant some carrot seeds and then every day you water it, you pull the weeds, you nourish the carrot plant in every way you can. You don’t expect a carrot instantly. But out of love for gardening you do the work without expecting anything in return. And then one day to your surprise,there is the carrot, beautiful, orange and delicious. Same with meditation.
If you commit yourself to meditation without expecting anything in return; If you give yourself to this moment out of the love of giving. Because some days meditation will be challenging, some days meditation will be blissful and some days meditation will be a challenging surrender to the intensity that is here.
But simply by meditating and by nourishing your awareness in every way you can,one day, without even focusing on it, you could be reading a book or walking in the woods and suddenly there is an opening. Suddenly, bliss is radiating freely from your heart.
Enlightenment will happen without you thinking about it. Without you do anything on your part.
It arises on its own, at its own time, yet it arises also because you planted the seed and helped it grow.
And the best way to help your meditation grow into enlightenment is by sitting in the presence of an enlightened teacher, one who has mastered high states of meditation. Such a teacher naturally radiates a bliss(known as shaktipat) that can be felt by others. And so simply by sitting with them, you easily enter deep states of meditation.

Meditation rooms are not separate rooms all the time most of the time they are just secluded nooks, in someones home where one can be in total isolation to be able to think, relax and meditate. Healing Meditation – How To Do Healing Meditation?
healing meditation is used to heal you or to heal others. When you are just starting out, it is best to focus on your own healing first. What we’re going to see here is the self healing.
You can help your body to recover from an illness or disease by doing healing meditation.
How to do healing meditation?
Start your meditation process as usual.
Then, once you are happy that you are in a relaxed state, you can start your healing meditation.
In your mind, fill the area that needs healing with a bright healing light. Once you get proficient at this technique, you can research the different colors that are said to help even more with the healing process. But as a starter, use a bright white light for your healing process.
Flood the area that needs healing with the bright white light. See everything brilliantly illuminated. Then visualize the affected area starting to heal and return to its regular, i.e., 100% healthy state.
Some people find it helpful to visualize their white blood cells attacking the harmful elements in the affected area.
Some other people find that they can build their own construction team in their visualization. This team of miniature experts goes about the process of reconstructing the affected area and putting it back to normal.
The power of this visualization is fantastic. Let your mind run riot while you perform your healing meditation.
See the area that needs healing transform into a completely healed part of you. If you find it difficult to “see” the area, then just imagine what it would feel like if that part of your body was completely healed and working perfectly. It doesn’t matter if you don’t get all the details completely right. Just get a sense of what will happen. Your mind is powerful enough to fill in the gaps – all you are doing is telling it the direction that you would like it to take.
You can lead a healthy life using this healing meditation.
Meditations: A Simple Healing Meditation Practice
The role of meditation in essence is to assist you in maintaining your mind and body. The power of our mind is often overlooked in Western Society where as in other parts of the world like Asia, they recognize the power of the mind to assist in healing your body. This meditation is one that you can use to simply help heal you body. I should note that it is not a substitute for other medical assistance, but should be used in conjunction with traditional medicine.
The first part of this meditation is to get you into the meditation position. For this meditation either the seated meditation position or sitting on a chair will be appropriate. I also recommend for this meditation that you use Baroque Style Meditation music played at 60 beats per minute as we want your brain to be in its optimum mode to help with the healing process.
Whilst you are seated make sure that your back is straight, shoulders straight and your head should be upright. This will ensure that you can breathe clearly through your nose. Begin the healing meditation with simple breathing meditation that is light breathing out through your nose. As you are doing this clear your mind of yours thoughts. Once you have got to the required state of relaxation it is now time to begin the Healing Meditation.
In your minds eye, open your mind to you being seated by a beautiful flowing stream with the most brilliant colors of green around you. You should feel the sun touching your face so gently. As your mind is opening your imagination you should feel the stress and pain in your body slowly sink away into the ground. As that tension and stress flows into the ground, you should feel renewed energy fill the void of that tension.
Now the healing can begin. As the tension and stress slips away and the new energy comes into your body, focus that energy on parts of your body that have been in pain or hurting. Feel the energy encapsulate those points of pain and the healing to begin. To help you further with the healing process, now put your feet into the stream. Feel the rushing water pass by and the tension flow away.
Continue this meditation till you feel refreshed and vibrant. When you come out of the meditation session spend a few minutes sitting on the flow or in the meditation position you chose and simply feel the renewed energy in your body. This meditation technique is worth doing at least once a week to help you renew the energy in your body.
7 Health Ailments Eased By Healing Meditation
Do you suffer from skin conditions such as psoriasis? Are you battling blood pressure and heart disease? Do have trouble controlling your anxiety? Astrology: Understanding the Birth Chart still follows the old paradigm of how to teach Astrology. You have to digest a staggering amount of information, and even though it does make an effort to show how to apply the techniques in practical ways, it still amounts to too much theory and not enough application.
In the Summer of 2007, I decided to revisit the fundamentals of Astrology and see if I could make them more accessible. Astrology: Understanding the Birth Chart included just about every technique and approach that I’d ever used to interpret a natal chart. But over the years, my practice evolved, and I discovered that I could get a wealth of detailed, specific information using only the simplest, fundamental classical techniques.
